Brady, E. (2019). Voices for Change - Bethany Jackson. The Rights Lab, 8 March 2019.

Emily asks the question 'What is the single change that would help end slavery today?' to antislavery practitioners, activists and academics as part of the series Voices for Change. This is the answer I provided to the project, recorded at the Rights Lab in Highfield House, University of Nottingham on 8 March 2019.



A piece written for the Delta 8.7 website relating to my work at the Rights Lab (University of Nottingham) which explores the ways in which we may apply remote sensing technologies and techniques in the fight to end modern slavery by the 2030 deadline as laid out within the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - focusing on mapping industries, monitoring vulnerability and assessing the modern slavery-environment nexus.



A post written for the School of Geography blog - the 'GeogBlog' - about the work which I am undertaking looking at modern slavery and its interaction with the environment, with an emphasis on the destructive relationship between the two.


PeaceTech Lab Weekly Roundup (2018). Searching for the Unseen: The Rights Lab. 17 May 2018.

An explanation of the work the Rights Lab are conducting in their efforts to eradicate slavery using satellite imagery as part of their 'Slavery Observatory'. The piece was edited by Allen Hester (PeaceTech Lab) from an original written text produced by Bethany Jackson and Dr. Jessica Wardlaw. Part of a subscription to the PeaceTech newsletter - past issues are updated on their website.


Undercover Asia (Episode 8): Fighting Slavery From Space. 22 March 2018.

Short documentary on the work at the University of Nottingham on the 'Slavery Observatory' project with special reference to the brick kilns in South Asia. Includes a segment about the work I am completing. Filmed in early 2018 with MADE Productions for distribution across Asia.
